Cheryl Claytor
February 15, 1959 — May 18, 2025
Cheryl Lynn Claytor, 66, of Kingston, passed away at 10:25am, May 18, 2025, at the OSU James Cancer Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born February 15, 1959, in Chillicothe, to Nokey and Betty (Cydrus) Tisdale, of Chillicothe, who survive.
Also surviving is her husband of 42 years, Randy A. Claytor, Kingston; her daughter Elyse Claytor and fiancée Kimberly Reaves, of Chillicothe; son and daughter-in-law Zachary (Natalie) Claytor, of Baltimore, MD; her sister and brother-in-law Sandra (Christopher) Hoffman, of Chillicothe; her mother-in-law Alicia Claytor and brother-in-law Dean Claytor, both of Kingston; nieces: Bobbi Crum and Tanae (Christian) Thomas, both of Chillicothe; Taylor Hatfield of Charleston, SC; Kinnedy (Bo) Clary of Chillicothe; Kalyn Hoffman of Long Beach, CA; and nephews: Bryan Himelrick of Chillicothe and Cannon Hoffman of Columbus. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Vickie (Tony) Walton; father-in-law Glenn Claytor, Sr.; and brother-in-law Glenn Claytor, Jr.
Cheryl was an avid women's sports fan and looked forward to NCAA women's softball season each year. She loved spending time at the beach and in the pool on her floatie, shopping for her family, listening to Stevie Nicks, working on home improvement projects, and she greatly valued her friends in the Pink Pack Tribe support group and the Zane Trace community.
At her request, cremation services are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends Friday, May 23, from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
