Charlotte Vest

Charlotte Y. Vest, 73, of Chillicothe, passed from life Sunday afternoon, September 26, 2010, at the Ohio State University Hospitals, following a brief illness. She was born July 4, 1937 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Robert P. and Hattie Mae Steinbrook Fornash. On January 4, 1958 she married the late Ralph E. Vest, who died June 25, 1977. Survivors include a daughter, Amy (Roger) Carl Jr.; two sons, Phillip (Jennifer) Vest and Paul (special friend Lori Murphy) Vest, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Robert Vest and Treston Carl; two step-grandchildren, Ashley Mills and Johnny Vest; four great grandchildren and Lori's children, Heather Taylor, Joe, Zach, Haley, and Katie Murphy; two sisters, Georgia (John) Hodge, of Sun City, AZ and Anne (Richard) Reeves, of Kettering, OH; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, including her best friend, Linda Hardin. Mrs. Vest was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Her grandchildren were the center and love of her life. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Wednesday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, 975 Eastwind Dr. # 150 Westerville, OH 43081-3344.
