Charlie Ward

Charlie Ward, 68, of Bainbridge, died unexpectedly at 4:33pm Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at his home. He was born April 26, 1938, in Johnson Co., KY, to the late Forest H. and Myrtle L. Collins Ward. Surviving are his sisters and brothers-in-law Belva (Harold) Kean; Gracie (Robert) Starner; Mary Goings, all of Columbus; Aretta Holbrook, Richmond, KY; a half-brother Troy (Marcella) Martin, Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Elmer, Ernest, James, and Lon C. Ward. Charlie worked at Kenworth Truck Co. where he painted trucks. He served his country in the US Army from 1956-1959. Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm Saturday, May 13, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Rossman officiating. Military graveside committal services will be held 11:00am Monday, May 15, in Alton Cemetery, Columbus. Friends may call Saturday from 5-7pm at Haller's.
