Charles Woods

Charles L. Woods Charles L. Woods, 72, of Chillicothe, died 5:30 pm Friday, February 23, 2007 in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born July 26, 1934 in Ross Co. to Charles O. and Melva L. Hardesty Woods. On October 3, 1954 he married Ellen Jane Price, who preceded him in death on December 20, 1996. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Mary E. and Gary Kinnison, Bainbridge; daughter, Katherine L. Woods, Chillicothe; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph A. and Tina Woods, Waverly; grandchildren, Andrea and Todd Arnold, Sara Kinnison, Charles Chancey Woods; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Brady, Preston and Madison; brother, Ronald (Joan) Woods; sisters, Joycelyn Gallaugher, Barbara (Gerald) Michaels, Sharon (Ronald) Boggs, Peggy Puckett; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. Woods, Jr.; his parents; a step-father, Fred Garrett; and two brothers, Robert R. Woods and Walter E. Woods. Mr. Woods was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. He was a long time Teamster and had retired from Greenfield Research in 1996. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 4, Eagles Aerie 600, and American Legion Post 757. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Haller Funeral Home, with Steve Alexander officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Charleston Church of the Brethren (Dunkard Hill) Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday at Haller's.
