Charles Shewalter

Charles F. Shewalter Charles F. Shewalter, 86, of Chillicothe, died 3:40 pm Thursday, July 14, 2005 in Heartland of Chillicothe, following an extended illness. He was born October 26, 1918 in Chillicothe to Charles and Ida Lewis Shewalter. On May 30, 1938 he married Ruth M. Shepherd, who died September 7, 2003. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Tyo and Marsha (Dave) Hatfield, all of Chillicothe; a son, Robert "Bob" Shewalter and his special friend, Nancy Lewis, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Bryan (Risa) Tyo, Brent (Mary Ann) Tyo, Starla J. (Jason) Burnham, Joe (Carrie) Bartlett; three great-grandchildren, Jason Jr., Luke and Trevor; a special family friend, Janet Hawk; a brother-in-law, Charles R. Fleming; a sister-in-law Gladys Shepherd; and a special niece, Bonnie (George) Poole. He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Galitaya Bartlett and four brothers and four sisters. Mr. Shewalter retired from Taylor's IGA as a meat cutter and the Citizens National Bank. He was a loving father and grandfather. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Monday in the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Case officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 1-3 pm Sunday at Haller's.
