Charles Oscar Page, 82, of Chillicothe, passed on Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1930, the son of the late Harry and Flossie Snyder Page. On April 17, 1960 he married the former Janet Lunsford, who survives. Also surviving are 4 daughters, Brenda (Dwayne) Whalen, Collene (Pete) Felts, Jodi and Toni Page; 11 grandchildren, Leslie (Justin) Burns, Shelby Whalen, Dustin (Christina) Harrel, Kacey an Caleb Felts, Amy (Bruce) Gray, Stephanie Felts, Jason and Destiny Flori, Alexa Urteaga and Anthony Ashton; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Robert, Thomas, Gale and Dean Page; a sister, Susan Cottrill; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jim and John and a sister, Rose. Charlie retired from Chilpaco in 1997 after 48 1/2 years of service. He also served 13 years in the National Guard. He was a long time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Disciples Class. Charlie was owner and operator of Page Excavating. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid deer hunter. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call 6-8 pm Tuesday or one hour prior to the funeral at Haller's on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
