Charles Morris

Charles A. Morris Charles A. "Art" Morris, 63, of Chillicothe, died 5:15 pm Sunday, December 4, 2005 in his home following an extended illness. He was born September 13, 1942 in Chillicothe to the late Charles E. and Ethel Mae Newman Morris. On October 29, 1966 he married Marlene Roskos, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Amy M. (Timothy) Kern, and Charles "Cam" (Olivia) A. Morris II, both of Chillicothe; a granddaughter, Jara Hunter Willis; his mother-in-law, Helen R. Roskos, of Chillicothe; a brother-in-law Ray (Ella) Roskos, of Monessen, PA; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and very special friends, Bob and Shelby Ball and Bob Patterson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Gene "Sunshine" Morris, his step-father, Doral J. Whaley; and his father-in-law, Michael Roskos. Mr. Morris retired from Dupont in July of 1999. He was a Marine Corp. Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 757, VFW Post 108, Eagles Aerie 600, a life member of AMVETS Post 4, DAV Chapter 18, VFW Post 108, Vietnam Veterans Chapter 18, and served as the Deputy VAVS Representative, Department of Ohio AMVETS at the Chillicothe VAMC and was on the Ross County Veterans Commission. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, December 8, 2005 in the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. David Titler and Skip Cousins officiating. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Wednesday at Haller's and one hour prior to the service.
