Preceded in death by parents Mary Geneva (Jenny) and Richard M (Dick) Lindstrum. Grandparents Maude Elizabeth and Charles Elliott.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Lee Anne Chenault Lindstrum, daughter Tami Sue and her long time companion Bob (Butch) Taylor.

He was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 1951 known as (Bud) by his family, friends and classmates. Also known as (Chilli) at Whitehall Yearling High School due to his involvement in helping out since 1969 when he worked on the football chain crew for 15 years.

Bud served in the US Army, 2 nd Infantry Division, 2 nd Medical Battalion, during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for 39 years as a mechanical draftsman with Kinnear Mfg. Co.

He enjoyed high school sports and attended most football and basketball games at Whitehall over the years. At one time was a member of the VFW post, Whitehall Boosters and currently a member of "Ye Old Buzzards Club" in Westerville.

He was honored on the field at Huntington Park on the 4 th of July, 2016 along with 24 other "Home Town Heroes" for their previous military service. He was honored in February, 2017 by the Whitehall Education Foundation for his dedication to the community for 40 plus years. In July, 2017 he was awarded Whitehall Citizen of the Year. Also in 2017 he went on the Honor Flight Columbus to Washington DC. where he and others had the once in a life time experience of seeing the military memorials.

Because of his patriotism, he flies a flag every day at his home with an eagle statue watching guard. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, from noon to 4pm at Homestead Condo Community Center, 101 Pioneer Circle, Pickerington, OH 43147. A eulogy will be held at 2pm. There will not be calling hours or funeral. Bud donated his body to the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 777 W.
