Charles Holmes

Charles D. "Chuck" Holmes, Jr., 76, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 6, 2024, at his home following a long battle with COPD.

Chuck was born Sept. 18, 1947, in Troy, OH, the son of the late Charles, Sr., and Irene (Mann) Holmes.  On June 23, 1990, he was united in marriage with Jeannine (Moran) Holmes, who survives.

He is also survived by his daughter Kelsey, who he adored; a sister Kathleen Holmes, of Chillicothe; as well as a special niece Laura Hopkins.  He was predeceased by his parents; a step-son Eric Moran; his mother-in-law Jean Moran; and a sister-in-law Beverly Pierce.

Chuck retired from YSK in Chillicothe, then worked part time at AutoZone.  Chuck was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Union Church, Waverly, where he served as Third Elder for many years.  He'll be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at Noon, Saturday, July 20, at Pleasant Valley Christian Union Church, 947 Valley Rd., Waverly, OH, with Rev. Lou Watson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made on the day of the celebration to help with expenses.
