Charles Hinty

Charles L. Hinty, 76, of Chillicothe, died at 10:22am November 14, 2021, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.   He was born October 14, 1945, in Chillicothe to the late Samuel C. and Lessie (Brown) Hinty.  On December 12, 1984, he married the former Kathy L. Murray, who survives.   Also surviving are their children: Larry (Mendy) Hinty, Melissa (Bob) Sickels, Misty (John) Gamerdinger, Mendy (Larry) Hinty, Andrew (Gloria) Hinty, Catherine Hampp and her fiancé Jerry Hall, all of Chillicothe; and Paul (Charlene) Hinty, Marysville, WA; grandchildren: Nicole, Michael, Christian, Luke, Landon, Mikayla, Trevor, Maeryn, Kinsley, Autumn, Victoria, Izaac, Noah, Stefan, Evelyn, Samuel and Xavier; great-grandchildren: Josie, Emily, Lynni, Lily, Eva, Darian, Delaynee, Nina, Jace, Atlas and Everest.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Amy Rippeth; and his sister Diane Hinty.   Chuck was a graduate of Chillicothe High School.  He worked as a flooring associate at the Home Depot in Washington C.H., where he made many friends.  He and Kathy attend the First Assembly of God Church.  He enjoyed playing chess, metal detecting, his coin club, and especially enjoyed a good cup of coffee.   The funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Shaun Howard officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Friday at the funeral home.  His online guestbook is available at www.HallerFuneralHome.com
