Charles Hamilton Charles Hamilton, 92, of Chillicothe, died 2:30 pm, July 23, 2007. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday in the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. David Titler officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden, Massieville. Friends may call 5-8 pm Wednesday at Haller's. He was born February 23, 1915 in Lucasville, OH to Suzanne Jenkins Montgomery. Survivors include his wife of almost 68 years, Gladys Ramey Hamilton; two daughters Phyllis (Tom) Little, Claremont, NC and Teresa (Bill) Hudson, of Delaware, OH; grandchildren, Lisa Hefner, of Taylorsville, NC, Dr. Thomas (Catherine) Little, of Greensboro, NC, Natalie L. Hudson, of Delaware, OH; four great granddaughters, Camille M. Hefner, Alexa R. Hefner, Virginia E. Little and Rebecca L. Little; two step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and a half sister Flora Sloan, of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marta Hamilton, who died 9 years ago to the day; and two half brothers. Mr. Hamilton was one of the first resident of Pleasant Valley, building the family home in 1937. He was a World War II Army Veteran, having served in the Battle of the Buldge and receiving a Purple Heart. He retired from the VA Medical Center in 1975 from the Food Service Department. He attended Sandy Baptist Church and Chillicothe Baptist Church. He was a member of the DAV Commander's Club and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
