Charles Wesley Haas, 79, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday evening, December 23, 2022 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
He was born August 22, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Harold and Sarah (Clayton) Haas. He married his beloved wife, Sandra "Sandy" (Smith) Haas on September 14, 1968, who survives.
Also surviving is their son and daughter-in-law, Rob (Marsha) Haas; two grandchildren, Ellie and Wesley; his sister, Deborah (Thomas) Graves; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.
Charles was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marines and later the United States Air Force. He went on to work for the Chillicothe Police Department for many years before eventually retiring as a Sergeant. He was a member of the Eagles, AMVETS, and the FOP.
In accordance with his wishes, private military honors will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard, with burial to follow in Reber Hill Cemetery.
