Charles Bayes

Charles E. Bayes Sr. Charles E. Bayes, Sr., 59, of Chillicothe, passed away, following an extended illness, January 26, 2007 in the Ohio State University Hospital. He was born July 15, 1947, in Chillicothe, to Woodrow W. and Marie Ratliff Bayes. Survivors include two daughters, DeeDee (Jeremy) Campbell, of McArthur, OH and Nicole (Tim) Umphries, of Chillicothe; two sons, Charles E. Bayes Jr. and Woodrow L. Paugh, both of Chillicothe; two brothers, James (Judy) Bayes and Larry (Pam) Bayes, both of Chillicothe; three sisters, Roseann (Fred) Rice, Loretta Bost, and Joann (Charlie) Downs, all of Chillicothe; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Bayes was a Vietnam Army veteran. Private graveside funeral services will be conducted in Grandview Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home.
