Cecelia Hirsch

Cecelia R. Hirsch Cecelia R. Hirsch, 72, of Chillicothe, died 11:05 am, Sunday, October 29, 2006, in her home, following an extended illness. She was born February 10, 1934 in Chillicothe to J. Leo and Theresa C. Bigler Hirsch. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Mike Hutt, Tempe, AZ; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Linda Hirsch, Frankfort, OH, Clarence and Linda Hirsch, Indianapolis, IN, Frank and Judy Hirsch, Chillicothe, and Bernard and Becky Hirsch, Centerville; nieces and nephews, Petrea and Ben Junk, John and Joy Hirsch, Rob and Tamantha Hirsch, Chris Hirsch, Joe and Casey Hirsch, Dr. Sarah Hirsch and Dr. Steve Miller, Jack Hirsch, Susie and John Hesch, Terri and John Schueth, Steve and Kim Hirsch, Lisa Hirsch and Tom McDonough, Laura and Lew Vollmar and Mike and Carrie Hirsch; and 25 great nieces and nephews. Cecelia was a 1952 graduate of Catholic Central and a 1957 graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing, Columbus. She began her work as a nurse in the Pediatric, Surgery and Emergency Departments of the Chillicothe Hospital, where she served for 12 years. She then graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati, in 1970 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She returned to Chillicothe and worked as an Occupational Health Nurse for the Mead Corporation for twenty years. She was a long time member of the Farm Bureau, the American Legion Post 62 Auxillary, the Great Seal Investment Club, and several nursing associations including the Southeastern Ohio Association of Occupational Health Nurses. She was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Friday, November 3, 2006, at 10:00 am, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 4-7 pm Thursday in the Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 7:00 pm.
