Cathy Purnell

Cathy M. Purnell, 53, of Frankfort, left this world to join her sons at 1:30am July 20, 2013, at her residence, following an extended illness. She was born July 27, 1959, in Chillicothe, to Marvin R. and Hazel I. (Henty) Smith. Cathy is survived by her former husband, Kenneth Ray Purnell, of Londonderry; her son Devan Purnell, Frankfort; her mother, Hazel I. Smith, Chillicothe; brothers Kenneth, Robert E., and Marvin Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law Betty (Bob) Patterson; Edna (Dan) Gambill; and Mary Bennet, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by stillborn twin sons; her father Marvin R. Smith; and brothers: Wayne and Charles Smith. Cathy was employed by Trim Systems, until her health prevented her from working. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday, July 24, at the Haller Funeral Home with Adena Hospice Chaplain Bruce Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Boblett Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 12-1:30pm at Haller Funeral Home.
