Cathy Bowen

Cathy Sue Bowen, 71, of Chillicothe, died at 5:08pm March 7, 2021, at her residence following an extended illness.   She was born April 17, 1949, in Chillicothe, to the late Raymond and Betty A. (McKelvey) Weaver. On May 1, 1968, she married Dwight E. Bowen, who preceded her in death June 3, 2010.   Surviving are her children: Denny Clark (Cindy Haynes), Gloria Wolford and Lisa (Danny) Cordell; grandchildren: Candi Waugh, Olivia Wolford, Gage Cordell and Brandon Cordell; a great-grandchild Annalise Cordell; sisters Eileen Sword, Sue (Roger) Nichols, Trina (Bob) Holbrook; brothers Fred (Donna) Weaver, and Mike Weaver; sisters-in-law Debra Weaver, Debbie Weaver, Vickie Morgan and Gloria Bonner; an uncle Chuck Weaver; a cousin Vicki Nichols; Karen Wright, who was like a daughter; and her beloved cat "Garfield." In addition to her husband and parents; she was predeceased by her daughter Becky Sue Fleming; step-mother Wilma Weaver; sister Linda L. Lucca; brothers Dave and Ken Weaver; son-in-law Fred Wolford; sister-in-law Kathy Weaver; and a dear friend who was like a sister, Linda Newman.   Cathy worked as a nurse's aide at Westmoreland Place. She later received her LPN in 1995, retiring in 2011. In her free time, she loved to go bowling.   Funeral services will be held 1pm Thursday, March 11, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 11am until 1pm Thursday at the funeral home.
