Carolyn Smith

Carolyn Sue Smith, 81, of Ray, OH, passed away June 23, 2024, at 5:18pm, at Hospice of Central Ohio, due to complications having suffered a stroke.
She was born June 24, 1942, in Chillicothe, to the late Howard and Willia (Tucker) Diehl. On her birthday in 1966, she married Ronald L. Smith, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Ron, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bradley (Patty Haller, OD) Smith; grandchildren: Bradyn Smith; Kaylin, Isaac and Cathryn Smith; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Charlotte (Phil) Wells and Daniel (Karen) Smith; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and son Aaron Smith.
Carolyn Sue was a graduate of Unioto High School, Class of 1960. She had worked for many years at Wear-Ever Aluminum in research and later started a second career in bookkeeping with Citizens National Bank, from which she retired. She also volunteered with the Ross Co. Senior Citizens in Londonderry.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation service will be held under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Friday at the funeral home.
