Carolyn Grandstaff

Carolyn S. Grandstaff, 68, of Chillicothe, died 7:20 pm, January 15, 2013, at Heartland of Chillicothe, following an extended illness. She was born July 12, 1944 in Columbus, OH to the late Albert and Goldie Ann Vandergriff Maul. On June 6, 1965 she married James H. Grandstaff, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Betty Jo Grandstaff, of Chillicothe; Terry Allen and Jessica Lynn Grandstaff, both at home; her grandchildren, Heather and Ryan Rose and Timothy Lowry; a great-grandchild, Thomas Rose; and a lifelong best friend, Connie Hammond. Mrs. Grandstaff was a member of the Civil Defense, Chillicothe High School Band Boosters, Chillicothe Civic Theater, and taught quilting at the Carver Community Center. She was the world's best quilter and cook. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery.
