Carolyn French

Carolyn French, 87, of Chillicothe, passed away at her residence at 10:26pm September 12, 2023.

She was born April 26, 1936, in Ross County to the late James Everett and Emma Anna (Morgan) Anderson.

Surviving are her children: Kathy (Denny) Dalton, Karol (Steve) Specht, Bob (Jenny) French and Jim French, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Carrie (Ronnie) Anderson, Stephen Specht, Matt Specht, Tony Dalton, Douglas French, Nicholas French and Vaughn French; great-grandchildren: Emma and Jacob Specht, and Ash Anderson, all of Chillicothe.  She was predeceased by her siblings Elenore (Bob) Carter, and Carl (June) Anderson.

Carolyn was a member of the First Wesleyan Church.  She was a graduate of Unioto High School, Class of 1954, and was their first Homecoming Queen.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was also passionate about animals and loved her chocolate candy and ice cream.

Her funeral service will be held at 7pm Monday, Sept. 18, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Jon Welch officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6-7pm Monday at the funeral home.  Following cremation, burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery.
