Carolena Fortner

June 1, 1944 — February 20, 2024

Carolena M (Torman) Fortner, 79, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024.

She was born on June 1, 1944, in St. Albans, WV to the late Benjemin Ray and Juliave Torman.  She was happily married to Roger A Fortner who preceded her in death.

Carolena was blessed with four children who survive her, Teresa (Terry) Love of Chillicothe, Dale (Karen) Terry of Cincinnati, Julia (Tony) Fraley of Waverly, and Curtis (Paula) Fortner of Rockbridge. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren whom she cherished, Jessica (Fraley) Berk, Danelle Love, Michael Fortner, Morgan Terry, Bradley Fraley, Truman Love, Matthew Fortner, and Megan Fortner.  She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews other family and friends.

In addition to her husband, parents, and brothers, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Terry E. Love and granddaughter Sabrina Fraley.

Carolena was a Realtor with the former Real Living Ron Neff Real Estate (now Weichert Realtors).  She attended the First Church of God, Circleville where she served on the Board of Elders and in the Women's Ministry through the years.  Her favorite past times were, her family, church, travelling, and playing games on her cell phone.

The family will receive friends at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:45pm.  There will be no public funeral service.  Everyone is encouraged to attend a Celebration of Life for Carolena on Sunday at 3:00pm at the First Church of God, 1890 Kingston Pike, Circleville.  The sharing of pictures and memories with family and friends during this time would be appreciated by the family.
