Carol Wallingford

Carol Ann (Schobeloch) Wallingford, 84, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Wyngate at Circleville, following an extended illness.   She was born September 30, 1936, in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Howard George and Evelyn Mae (Weaver) Schobeloch.   Surviving is her brother, Philip (Charlotte) Schobeloch; a niece, Melissa (Glen) Wernersbach; a nephew, Craig (fiancé Suzanne) Schobeloch; great-nieces and great-nephews, Lydia (Timmy) Hubbard, Glen Philip (fiancé Paloma) Wernersbach, Justin Schobeloch, and Brian Schobeloch; two cousins, Karen (Duane) Kear, and Tim Weaver; and her close friends, Kathy (Jim) Moody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her canine companions, Susie, Shelby, and Cookie.   Carol worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce for 22 years before retiring. She went on to work at Elder-Beerman for several years following retirement, and then at Sumburger restaurant for an additional 15 years with her family. She attended St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Peter Catholic Church before her illness prevented.   The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Wyngate for all of their love and care since 2019. They would also like to recognize Carol's nurse, Francis, with Heartland Hospice for all of her compassion as well.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a visitation from 11:00am-11:45am at Haller Funeral Home prior to the service.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ross County Humane Society in her honor.   Her online memorial guestbook is available at  www.HallerFuneralHome.com
