Carol Lee Seachrist (née Snyder), 75, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. Born February 21, 1951, in Youngstown, Ohio, Carol’s life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and her deep faith.
Carol graduated from Caroline High School in Bowling Green, Virginia, and earned her college degree at Youngstown State University. Throughout her professional career, Carol loved working with people and numbers. She was able to enjoy both, and exemplify her compassion and commitment to helping others as she served as the administrative director at a mental health facility. A devoted Catholic, she was actively involved in her church communities in Youngstown and Chillicothe, Ohio, most recently as a member of St. Peter’s Church.
Carol and her husband, Daniel Seachrist, retired to Chillicothe, where she happily cherished her family, faith, and community. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother. She was a constant presence in her grandchildren’s lives - attending soccer games, taekwondo classes, school plays, and dance recitals with love and enthusiasm. Each grandchild knew they held a special place in her heart, and she made sure they always felt like Grammy’s favorite.
Carol’s unwavering love, strong faith, and warm, caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, June and William Snyder, and her youngest sister, Mary Jo Snyder.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Seachrist; her children, Keith Jones Jr. and Callie Burgess (Jonathan); her seven cherished grandchildren—Olivia, Echo, Bella, Cora, Taylor, Mackenzie, and Hailey; and her siblings, Cheryl Baker (James), Mary Catherine Creps (Michael), Patti Eaglehouse (Edward), William Snyder (Marcia), and Mary Michelle Russell (Victor), along with their families.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church in Chillicothe on Thursday, April 16, at 11:00 am followed by burial at St. Margaret Cemetery.
