Carol Huddleston

July 25, 1932 — October 31, 2008

Carol Brand Huddleston, age 76 and longtime resident of Chillicothe died Friday, October 31, 2008 in Pleasant Hill Manor, following an extended illness. Private graveside services will be held in Grandview Cemetery, at the convenience of the family, under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be announced and held in December. She was born July 25, 1932 in Toledo, OH to Edward and Edna Sperry Brand. She graduated from Toledo Scott High School in 1950. After graduating she went to work for Ohio Bell Telephone Co. On March 28, 1953 she married Don E. Huddleston in Toledo, where they lived before eventually relocating to Chillicothe. Carol loved reading, listening to country music, and volunteering for the Ross Co. Crisis Center. She is survived by her former husband and lifelong sweetheart, Don E. Huddleston; her children, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Jobin, of Boulder, CO, Mrs. Rick (Pam) Birdsall, Mrs. Mark (Laura) Davis, Mrs. Kevin (Heidi) North, and Mr. Jeffrey S. Huddleston, all of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Donnie Anderson, of Circleville, Kelli Coppel Anderson, of Groveport, Cole Coppel, Hunter Hightower, Brick Davis, Hudson North, Payton North, and Allie Huddleston, all of Chillicothe; her great-grandchildren, Landis Downs, Darrian Brown, Avery and Sophie Anderson, and Cashius Coppel; and a sister, Joan Glover, of Toledo. She was preceded in death by a child, Carol Jo Huddleston; a grandchild, Landis Coppel, and a sister, Barbara Brand. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of Pleasant Hill Manor and Adena Hospice. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adena Health Foundation, Friends of Hospice, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
