Carol Hixon

Carol A. Hixon, 68, of Chillicothe, died 3:00 am, Sunday, September 01, 2013, at Traditions of Chillicothe, following an extended illness. She was born December 5, 1944 in Barberton, OH to the late Thomas G. and Cora E. Kent Skinner. On September 9, 1967 she married Paul H. Hixon, who survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Nancy Hixon, of McLean, VA; and two brothers, John (Angela) Skinner, of Olmstead, OH and Douglas (Vicki) Skinner, of Tyler, TX. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles and a sister, Janet Beck. She was a 1968 graduate of Ohio University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in education. Mrs. Hixon was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, Rev. Kurt King officiating. Friends may call 9:30 – 11:00 am Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Women, 24 S. Mulberry St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
