Carl Jones

Carl Lenard Jones, of Chillicothe, was born into this life on June 5, 1930 to Otis Herd and Iva Mae Brewer Jones, in Frankfort. He departed this life for the next on June 2, 2013. He was 82 years old. He married the former Kathryn Emma Smith, who survives, on September 25, 1960. They were married 52 years. Also surviving are his children, Carla (Todd) Wrightsel, Charlotte McDaniel, Garrett Jones, and Charmin (Ron) Zambarrano. His surviving grandchildren are Teddy and Christina McDaniel, Tyler and Trevor Wrightsel, and Allegra, Brenson and Landon Zambarrano. Surviving great-grandchildren are Trinity Watson, Molly McDaniel, and Braxton Wrightsel. Special friends include Clyde Entler, Brandan and Landan Kamer and Allyson Berry. He also has several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and cousins surviving. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Wilena Long and Dorothy Watts, and brothers NH and A. Dale Jones. Carl was owner/operator of Jones Marathon, 6-J Discount Gas, and Hall's Garage. He also retired from Ralston-Purina Company and Union-Scioto Schools. Carl served in the US Army in Panama during the Korean Conflict as a tank driver. Carl worked hard his whole life and the only thing he asked of life was to be able to have a decent cup of coffee. May he rest in peace. In following his wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Township EMS in his honor.
