Carl Fred Ginther, Jr., 79, of Chillicothe, died 4:51 pm, Monday, October 26, 2015, at National Church Residences-Chillicothe. He was born July 15, 1936 in Chillicothe to the late Fred C. and Elizabeth A. Hirsch Ginther. On February 6, 1960 he married the late Sharon S. Wells, who died September 27, 2015. Survivors include his daughters, Mary G. (Steven) Turo, of Dalton, MA and Anina G. (Frederick) Hamilton, of Geneva, NY; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Chris) Ericson, Alexander Turo, Emily Adams and Audrey Adams; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard W. (Betty) Ginther, of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law, Mary Ginther, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Ginther. Mr. Ginther was a US Navy veteran. He retired from the Schoeller Technical Paper Company in 1997 after 30 years of service. He previously was employed by Mead Paper Company. Fred could be seen walking throughout Chillicothe, and was an avid golfer. He was member of St. Peter Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday at St. Peter Church, Rev. Sean Dooley, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 7:30 pm Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Way of Ross Co., 53 E.
