Carl Davis

Carl E. Davis, 86, of Chillicothe, formerly of Glouster, died September 21, 2012, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born June 28, 1926 in Athens County to the late Charles Albertus and Sarah Belle Leake Davis. Survivors include a son, Carle E. (Bobbie Bailey) Davis; a daughter, Marianne (Tim) Gordon; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a his wife, Norma Bobo Davis; a daughter, Charlotte Spear; a brother, Ronald; and three sisters, Velma Poston, Goldie Thompson and May Pearl. Mr. Davis served in the US Army during both World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 3477 in Athens, OH. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday at New England Presbyterian Church, 9885 New England Rd, Stewart, OH 45778.
