Cameron Thomas

Cameron Michael Thomas, 22, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1995, in Columbus to Michael L. Thomas, Jr. and Melissa K. (Long) Tyler. Cam is survived by his mother, Melissa K. Tyler, his two fathers, Michael L. (Melissa) Thomas, Jr., and Sheldon (Courtney) Tyler; a special sister, Shelby Tyler; his companion Megan Newberry, and their daughter, Cali Mae Thomas; his siblings, Mickayla, Hannah, Mattie, Grace, Michael III, Brittany, and Malcom Thomas, Nehemiah Felts, Jordyn Sprouse, Kendrick Tyler, and Snoop Woodfork; his grandparents, Marcia (Troy) Young, David Sams, Janet Jenkins, Diane Tyler, and Carl Burgin, Sr.; his great-grandparents,  Patricia "Nanny" Long, Nina Sams, Elsa Jenkins, and Richard Jenkins. Cam comes from a large family with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends he treated as family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Austin Beverly, a grandfather, Michael Thomas, and his great-grandparents, James "Pappy" Long, and Julie (Spike) Tyler. Cam attended Unioto High School and graduated from Huntington High School, Class of 2012. He loved helping people and providing random acts of kindness to anyone in need. He will be fondly remembered as having a heart of gold, a great sense of humor, and a loving person with a beautiful smile. Cam would want all of his friends to continue striving for success and to make something wonderful out of their lives. Being the giving person that he was, Cam was a registered organ donor. He gave the ultimate gift, the gift of life, and was able to save numerous people with his donation. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Zion Baptist Church, with Dr. Rev. J. Troy Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Huntington Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12:00pm Saturday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Avenue, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601, to help with the cost of funeral arrangements.
