Calvin Johnston

Calvin E. Johnston Calvin E. Johnston, 51, of Chillicothe, died 10:40 pm September 10, 2006 in the Ohio State University Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born March 20, 1955 in Chillicothe to Calvin A. Johnston and Maxine Tackett Liggins. Survivors include his mother, Maxine (Roger) Liggett; five children, Maxine Conley, of Logan, Natasha Bostwick, Kevin, Devon, and Scott Dills, of Chillicothe; three grandchildren, Dalton, Dillon and Maverick; six sisters, Chestine Howard, Ruby (Scott) Sherwood, Ellen (Sanford II) Crisp, Patsy Cottrill, Opal (Steve) Hutton, and Charlene (Larry) Conley; his grandmother, Eliza Jane Tackett; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Thomas; his paternal grandparents, Oren and Etta Johnston and his maternal grandfather, Thomas Tackett. Mr. Johnston worked construction and was a painter. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday in the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Thursday at Haller's.
