Clarence Eugene Stover, 68, of Chillicothe, died 2:27 pm, March 25, 2015, following a brief illness. He was born May 25, 1946 in Logan, OH to the late Harry E. and Dorothy E. Sowers Stover. On September 28, 1996 he married the former Bonnie Rae Keslar Adkins, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Robin (Brian) Adkins, Jerry (Dottie) Adkins, J.D. (Joni) Adkins, John (Mellany) Stover, Lesa (Eric) Coy, Kevin (Bridget) Stover and Kellee Beyette; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Leva Jones; and two brothers, Larry (Simone) and George (Gina) Stover. He was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren, Jonathan and ErraLynn Adkins and Emilee Coy; a brother, Charles; and a sister, LaDonna. Mr. Stover worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was a US Army Vietnam War veteran and a life member of the VFW. He was a Free and Accepted Mason and a former member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church. He was a member and president of the Nelsonville Parade of the Hills board of directors and a former Boy Scout leader. The family will receive friends 2-4 pm Sunday at the Haller Funeral Home. A military graveside service, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will be scheduled at a later date in Grandview Cemetery.
