C. Alan Spindler

Charles Alan Spindler, 58, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly at 2:18am on October 19, 2024, Adena Regional Medical Center.

Alan was born December 21, 1965, in Chillicothe, to Charles Edwin and Ruth Ann (Cottrill) Spindler.  On July 16, 1988, he married the former Sherry L. Dyer, who survives.

In addition to his wife Sherry, he is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann Spindler, Chillicothe; a brother and sister-in-law Randy (Misty) Spindler, of Circleville; nephews and a niece: Benjamin (Kaylin) Spindler, Nathan Spindler, Shawn Lanman, Chad Lanman, all of Chillicothe; Amy (Dave) Lusk, of Gallena, Adam (Kelsen) Dyer, of Circleville; and Brandon (Deanna) Dyer, of Laurelville; his mother-in-law Mary Dyer, of Chillicothe; in-laws Vicki Lanman, Chillicothe; Dwight (Tami) Dyer, Kingston; an aunt Celia (Mike) Hamlan, of North Carolina; a special cousin John (Michelle) Fitzpatrick, Chillicothe; and his beloved canine boxers Winston and Luna.  He was predeceased by his father Charles E. Spindler; his father-in-law, William Dyer, Sr.; and a brother-in-law William R. "Bob" Dyer, Jr.

Alan was a 1985 graduate of Southeastern High School and the Pickaway Ross Joint Vocational School.  He worked for the Ross County courthouse in custodial services.

His funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday, October 24, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Tony Lambert officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12 until 1pm at the funeral home.
