Huey W. "Butch" McComis, Jr., 70, of Chillicothe, passed away February 21, 2021, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a battle with COVID-19. He was born January 21, 1951, in Chillicothe, to the late Huey W., Sr., and Ruby (Kuhn) McComis. On April 2, 1982, he married Patty Colter, who survives. Also surviving are his children: Charles (Jamie) McComis, Rhonda Dearth (Shawn Walls), Jennifer (Tim) Boltenhouse, all of Chillicothe, and Michel (Alicia) Colter, Ashland, KY; grandkids: Kristian, Carter, and Cadie Boltenhouse; Garrett McComis; Chase and Maci Dearth; Kinsley Walls; Michael Colter, Jr. and Mikaela EllenDawn Colter; a brother Roger (Nancy) McComis, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews including special nephews Jack (Nancy) McComis, of Frankfort, and Nathan Hamlin, Chillicothe. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings Helen, Ruth, Charles, Milard, Eddy, Theodore, Carson and Lora; and a grandson Timothy Allen "TJ" Boltenhouse, Jr. Butch worked in the sawmill and logging industry. In his free time, he enjoyed coon hunting, mushroom hunting, working on cars, drinking coffee and making deals and trades. Most of all, he enjoyed watching and supporting the grandkids. Following private services for the family due to COVID restrictions, public graveside services will be held at 3pm Friday, February 26, in Twin Twp. Cemetery with Pastor Nathan Woodworth officiating.
