Brian Mccoy

Brian C. McCoy, 38, of Londonderry, died Saturday May 10, 2008, in his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home with Brother Frank Sawyers officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 11am until 1pm at Haller's. Brian will then be transported to Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, KY, where funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday. Burial will follow in the Blackburn Family Cemetery. Brian was born February 10, 1970, in Columbus, OH. On October 6, 1988, he married the former Kathy Lee Blackburn, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter Amber M. McCoy; his son Seth R. McCoy, both of Londonderry; his father and step-mother Delman (Theresa) McCoy, Jr., Morristown, TN; mother and step-father Vicki (Larry) Leeson, Astor, FL; sister and brother-in-law Cheri (Todd) DeVors, Ashville, OH; half-sisters Amyanda C. (George) Weston, Lenors, TN; and Pebbles Lee McCoy, Morristown, TN; half-brother Nathaniel D. McCoy, Morristown, TN; step-brother Larry Leeson, Jr.; nieces and nephews, with whom he was very close: Matthew T., Abaigail E., and Elijah D. DeVors; and Derek W. and Jaden A. Holbrook; and his father-in-law Jimmy Blackburn, McAndrews, KY. He was predeceased by his brother Delman McCoy III; his mother-in-law Margaret Ann Blackburn; and his grandparents. Brian attended Trippieville Freewill Baptist Church. He worked for Specialty Minerals in the Maintenance Department. Memorial contibutions, if desired, may be made to Haller Funeral Home.
