Brian Douglas Beverly, 64, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, February 25, 2025 at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born March 3, 1960, in Chillicothe, son of the late Harold Joseph and Carol Ann (Lynch) Beverly.
He is survived by his children, Lavon (Tawain) McDonald, Kera (Alan) Beverly-Akin, Amanda Beverly, and Brian (Amanda) Beverly II; his grandchildren, Jaden, Javon, Jordan, Jason, Josiah, Niaira, Kal-el, Larae, Brennen, Karaliya, Kamden, Ada, Bailey, Michaiah, and Tobias; his siblings, Joseph (Carla) Beverly, Christopher (Carleena) Beverly, Bradford (Ruth) Beverly, Karen (Obadiah) Harris, Stuart (Yvonne) Beverly, Vincent (Minerva) Beverly, Harold "Tony" Beverly, Cheryl Beverly, Kim McDonald, David Maughmer, and Andrew Maughmer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Beverly.
Brian was a veteran of the United States Navy, as a AMs (Aviation Structural Mechanic), serving honorably from 1979 until 1991. He also was a fantastic car mechanic, wrote books, and was an aspiring actor who participated in local theater and appeared in movies such as the Shawshank Redemtion, and Life.
A celebration of life service will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 78 Douglas Avenue, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
