Brenda Shelhart

Brenda C. Shelhart, 74, of Chillicothe, died at 1:35pm June 22, 2023, following an extended battle with cancer.   She was born October 12, 1948, in Kentucky to the late James and Mildred (Fleenor) Collins.  On June 3, 1989, she married James M. Shelhart, who preceded her in death on March 24, 2010.   Surviving are her son Johnny (Tracie) Mullett, of Luttrell, TN; step-children: James Shelhart, Jr., Bobbie Shelhart, and Danielle Shelhart; 8 grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Glenda (Ernest) Clark, Gale (Denny) Dalton, Paul (Melody) Collins, Debra McKnight, Regenia Proctor, John Collins and Phillip (Sherry) Collins; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister Linda Deering; brother James Collins; grandson Carl Evans; in-laws Oscar and Ann Shelhart; sister-in-law Teresa Shelhart; and brother-in-law Jerry Shelhart.   The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of NCR Hospice, and the Litter and Corzine families.  A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
