Brenda Oney

Brenda Lou Oney, 60, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior, 10:12 am, Sunday, September 6, 2009 at her home, unexpectedly. She was born November 8, 1948 in Ironton, OH to the late George and Nellie Steed Neal. On November 20, 1970 she was united in marriage to Lowell G. Oney, who survives. Also surviving are her sons, Thomas and Danny (Mary) Oney, of Chillicothe; 4 grandchildren, Mackinze, Austin, Maleah and Alexa; 4 sisters, Etta Neal, Rachel Harris, Ruth Moore, and Paula Neal, of Chillicothe; and a brother Rev. George (Cindy) Neal, of Liberty, IN; many nieces and nephews; and several close friends. Brenda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and most of all a devoted Christian. She was a member of the Jefferson Ave. Church of Christ in Christian Union. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Mark Clendaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 11-1 Wednesday at Haller's.
