Brenda Burgett

Brenda Susan Burgett, of Chillicothe, passed away early Thursday morning, May 5, 2022 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 1, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles William and Sarah Ann (Exline) Gilliland. On February 17, 1990 she married the love of her life, Michael Elza Burgett, Jr., who survives.

Also surviving are her two beloved sons, Brandon L. (Ambur) Tiller, and Michael E. (Rachael) Burgett, III; two grandchildren, Tyler and Graycie; and her siblings, Linda Snider, Michael (Gay) Gilliland, and Paul Douglas Gilliland; as well as her sister-in-law, Vicki Gilliland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lucy Dawn Tiller; and her brother, June "J.R." Gilliland.

Brenda was a member of the Trinity Chapel CCCU in Jackson, Ohio, and attended the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Chillicothe.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00pm on Monday, May 9, 2022 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Brown and Pastor Knox Bullock officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation from 4:00pm until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:30am.
