Braxdyn Lee Zimmerman
Dec. 12, 2025
Braxdyn passed away on Friday morning at his home in Waverly, Ohio. Braxdyn was a freshman at Pike County Christian Academy. His home school was Huntington, where he attended grades K-8, and was excited to get back to his friends.
Braxdyn was born on April 28th, 2011, to Jennifer Hutchison and Kristopher Zimmerman. Surviving are his three siblings: Isaiah, Aasia, and Kayriss or “Kk”, his grandmothers, Donna Lunsford and Tisa Beeler. Braxdyn comes from a large, loving family, leaving behind several aunts, uncles, special great aunts, cousins, and many extended family members, as well as additional grandparents.
He was predeceased by an uncle, Lyle Beeler.
Braxdyn just started his first job at Hirsch Fruit Farm, Seney Road, and was excited to be saving his paychecks.
Braxdyn loved the outdoors, riding bikes, skateboarding, shooting basketball or just going for a walk, if it were in the woods, he 100% had to be off the path, climbing hills or jumping ditches. He enjoyed his time on Huntington’s track and cross-country team and wanted to try out for the wrestling team when we made our way back to Huntington. He missed his friends and teachers in the TWP terribly.
We had the best summer ever, riding rollercoasters. We must have gone to Kings Island 20 times. Brax was a blast, always up for a good time.
He will always be remembered for shadowboxing, flexing on everyone, high kicks, jumping downstairs, sliding down rails, and “one-upping” his older brother. Braxdyn loved collecting and building Legos, Fast & Furious was his all-time favorite.
Braxdyn talked about getting his motorcycle license and of course, his driving permit.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 20th at 1:00pm at Haller Funeral Home. Friends may pay their respects and share their memories from 11:00am until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his family or The Ross County Domestic Violence Shelter, as Braxdyn and his family have been busy collecting gifts for the children on their caseload this Christmas with a giving tree at their shop.
