Brandon Oates

Brandon A. Oates, 22, of Chillicothe, died 6:30 pm, September 1, 2008 as a result of a drowning accident. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday in the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Phil Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday at Haller's. He was born May 19, 1986 in Chillicothe. Survivors include his parents, Craig A. (Tammy) Oates, of Bainbridge and Debbie (Glenn) Pummill Detty, of Chillicothe; 2 sisters, Tasha Pummill and Tia Spires, both of Chillicothe; 2 grandmothers, Beulah Oates, of Chillicothe and Judith Pummill, of Penn.; a grandfather, Gary (Deanna) Pummill, of Greenup, KY; a great-grandmother, Virginia Fulton, of Chillicothe; step-brother and sister, Shaun Stephens and Nikki Stinson; his girlfriend, Jessica Lowry; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Oates. Mr. Oates worked as a salesman for Sears. He was a graduate of the Pickaway-Ross JVS. He was a member of the NRA, and the Ross Co. Sportsman and Wildlife Assn.
