Brandon A. Letsche, 18, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly of natural causes at home, Tuesday, August 6, 2013. He was born March 9, 1995 in Chillicothe to Mark A. Letsche and Kelly M. Hamer Spencer, attended Chillicothe Public Schools, and graduated from Chillicothe High School in June of 2013. He recently began working at the Ross Co. Humane Society and was thrilled to find full-time employment there, and the opportunity to work with the animals. Brandon will be sorely missed by those with whom he came in contact with, but none more so than his family and girlfriend. He is survived by his parents, of Chillicothe; a sister, Alyssa L. Letsche; half-sister, Brittany Letsche, Helena, MT; half-brother, Kaden Withrow; step-father, Erin Spencer; paternal grandmother, Angie Letsche; maternal grandmother, Cindy L. Hamer and her companion, Keith Lisk, Waverly; maternal grandparents with whom he lived, John R. and Loralei Poole-Hamer, Chillicothe; paternal great-grandmother, Mimi Letsche, South Point, OH; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Kohn, Chillicothe; maternal great-grandfather, Nick Seymour, of Londonderry; maternal great-grandparents, George and Bonnie Poole, Chillicothe; several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members; and his girlfriend, Brandalyn Ottworth, Chillicothe. Friends will remember Brandon as a sweet and gentle giant (nicknamed 'Sasquatch' by many) who was always quick with a smile. His family knew Brandon to have a heart and soul of gold, and they are comforted to find this viewpoint confirmed by sentiments expressed on his Facebook wall. Brandon's life was full of unrealized promise cut tragically short, but friends may find solace in the knowledge that he did not suffer pain or anguish in his last moments. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Monday at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 2-5 pm Sunday at Haller's.
