Bobby R. Tisdale, 89, of Chillicothe, went home to his heavenly Father at 1:40pm on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born September 4, 1935, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Hobard and Faye (Wiggins) Tisdale. On December 9, 1954, he married his beloved wife, Melnee Mae (Rossiter) Tisdale, sharing over 63 years of marriage together before her passing March 31, 2018.
Surviving are their children, Robin (Michele) Tisdale, Pam (Jerry) Uhrig, Chris Tisdale, Heather Heshiser, and Jason Tisdale; grandchildren, Christy Hafner, Cara (Gabe) Peecher, Scott Parker, Molly Tisdale, Andy Tisdale, Kandon Heshiser, Chloe Heshiser, and Jarred (Jani) Uhrig; great-grandchildren, Makenzy Wells, Aiden, Kennedi, Issac, Elyn, Warren, and Andrew Peecher, Addison and Lydia Uhrig, and Cayden Long; his siblings, Nokey (Betty) Tisdale, Rick (Donna) Tisdale, Jane Woltz, Judy Schlegler, Carolyn Sylvester, and Geneva Anderson; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Donald (Erma) Tisdale, Larry Tisdale, Janet Shrader, Oby Tisdale, Leland (Esther) Swackhammer, Irene Carle, and Hermie Jones.
Bobby retired from the City of Chillicothe Parks Department after numerous years of employment. He spent the vast majority of his time in Yoctangee Park and at the ball diamonds. He loved playing softball, umpiring games, coaching little league, and caring for the ball fields.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public services. Family and friends who would like to make a memorial contribution in his honor can do so to Adena Hospice in his memory.
