Billy Perdue

Billy L. Perdue, 73, of Chillicothe, died June 24, 2012, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born November 30, 1938 in Washington Co. to Leslie and Edith Angus Perdue. On March 5, 2012 he married his long time companion Carla S. Tripp, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Mark (Cheryl) Perdue, of Belpre, OH; step-children, Amanda (Matt) Sutherland and Bernie (Megan Patterson) Davis, of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, David and Kati Perdue, Justin and Jason Cline, Lauren Ragland and Addison Sutherland; a brother, Robert Perdue, of Belpre; and several extended family and friends, including his breakfast buddies at Frisch's and Dr. Brower who was such a help to the family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, John David. Billy worked highway and construction for several years and then started his own construction company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, travelling and bowling. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and touring the west by train with Carla. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 600 and the AMVETS. Private graveside services will be held in Rockland Cemetery, Belpre, at the convenience of the family, under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home. Calling hours will not be observed.
