Billy Wayne Mitchell passed away in Chillicothe on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was born in Logan, West Virginia on September 2, 1942, to Prince and Bessie (Kennedy) Mitchell.
Billy is survived by his wife, Brenda Kay (Zwicker) Mitchell, children, Stephanie Ryan, Billy Mitchell II, and James Mitchell, step-children, Tina (Jim) Hill, Tommy (Tonya) Cassill, and Chuck (Angel) Cassill, grandchildren, Tara Mitchell, Skylar Mitchell, Brandon (Lyndsay) Ellis, Mitchell (Alexus) Ellis, Sydney McCarty, and Jamie (Jeremy) Johnson, great-grandchildren, Leeland Dolin, Layken Dolin, Elliott Dunlap, Brenna Ellis, Layla Ellis, Chandler Ellis, Khaleesi Ellis, Baylen Floyd, and Braylon Johnson, and sisters, Judy Schiff, Peggy Mosley, and Patricia (Jim) Jordan. He is preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Archie Mayo Mitchell.
Billy graduated from Man High School in 1961 and became a Coal Miner. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #624 A & FM in Kingston and 32 Degree Scottish Rite.
In keeping with Billy's wishes, Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Billy's life will be held at a later date.
