Billy Chaney

Billy Gene Chaney, 81, of Chillicothe, died at 12:20am January 31, 2009, in his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm Tuesday, February 3, in the Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services will follow at 2:00pm in Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 10am until Noon at Haller Funeral Home. Billy was born January 29, 1928, in Sabina, OH, to the late John and Ethel Pratt Chaney. On October 9, 1991, he married the former Barbara A. Lane, who survives. Also surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law John W. (Peggy) Chaney, Chapmanville, WV; George (Dianna) Chaney, Plain City, OH; daughter Rebecca A. Petitt, Washington C.H., OH; daughter and son-in-law Kathy (Gordon) Shuler, Carroll, OH; step-daughters Barbara (Ronald) Yoakem, Bourneville; Rhonda (Michael) Bailey, Franklin, OH; Juanita Stewart; Sonja Stewart; Stephanie (Billy) Yoakem, all of Chillicothe; Penny Santos, Bourneville; a step-son Howard Stewart, Jr.; Bourneville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Phyllis (Robert) Mustain, Washington C.H.; Joleen (Bob) Kelly, Jeffersonville; sister Bonnie Baughn, Greenville, OH; and special friends Bob and Jackie Hill, Chillicothe. Billy retired from Inland Products where he was truck driver for over 40 years. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of the Buckeye State Sheriffs' Association and a member of the NRA.
