Billy Burton

Billy C. Burton, 74, of Chillicothe, died at 3:06pm January 24, 2022, in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.   He was born November 6, 1947, in Chillicothe, to the late Omar and Lillian (Lewis) Burton.  On December 17, 2003, he married the former Linda F. Osborne, who survives.   Also surviving are his son Neil R. Burton, of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Ryan (Ariel) Bloomfield, Karina Johnson; a great-grandson Kayden Burton; brothers and sisters: Clyde (Ginny) Burton, Jane (Mike) Meeker, Diana Burton, and Shirley Hoselton; and step-daughter Penny (Doug) Good.  He was predeceased by his parents; daughter Angela Burton; grandson Jacob Burton; brothers Mike and Curtis Burton; and sisters Katie McGuire, Geneva Burton, Lexie Olson, Dixie Terry and Ruth George.   Billy was a retired corrections officer from CCI.  He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.   The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-3pm at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory and request that those in attendance wear facial masks.  Following cremation, burial will be held in Twin Twp. Cemetery.
