Betty Tyler

Betty R. Tyler Betty R. Tyler, 82, of Chillicothe, died 3:20 pm, January 7, 2007 in the Pike Community Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born May 17, 1924 in Wyco Co, WV to Dempsey and Letty O'Neal Oaks. Survivors include three children, George "Tom" (Helen) Tyler Jr., of Chillicothe, Stephen E. (Karen) Tyler, of Emerado, ND and Letitia "Tish" Boydston, of Rochester, NY; six grandchildren, Melissa Tanksley, Richard, Terri, and Taquina Boydston, Stephanie Peques,Sabrina Tyler and Kelly Teal; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Eloise Scott and Ethel Oaks and a brother Robert Oaks. Betty was a life long member of the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ and attended the Fountain of Grace Church. She remained a faithful member until her death. She enjoyed baking with her sisters, and helping anyone who needed assistance. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday in the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Winks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 1-3 pm Wednesday at Haller's.
