Elizabeth A. "Betty" Park, 79, of Chillicothe, died at 5:25pm Monday, January 25, 2010, in Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born October 15, 1930, in Chillicothe, to the late Eugene T. and Bernadine C. Niks Hollis. On October 19, 1951, she married Donald L. Park, Sr., who preceded her in death on May 24, 2007. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law Donald (Anita) Park, Jr.; Michael (Joyce) Park; daughters and sons-in-law Teresa (John) Angus; and Cathy (Mark) Ramey, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Amy Lahrmer, Angela and Crystal Park, Mark and Stephanie Angus, Mark (Amber)Ramey Jr., Becky (Lance) Duncan; great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Alexis and Abigail Lahrmer, Arianna Leist, Blake Massie, Dakota Angus, Candace and Landen Ramey, Mekeil and Autumn Duncan, and Asher and Marquis Duncan; brothers Joseph "Sonny" Hollis, Chillicothe; Donald (Jane) Hollis, Lexington, KY; Nick Hollis and his special friend Kathy Knutson, Calif.; sisters and brothers-in-law Eva (Melvin) States; Joannie (Dave) Harper, all of Chillicothe; and Rita (Dale) Perry, Fla.; sisters-in-law Venita Hollis, Columbus; Phyllis Johnson, Chillicothe; brothers-in-law Glenn Park and Russell Bethel, both of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by grandchildren Jason Park and Karrie Jo Ramey; and a brother Daniel Hollis. Betty was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered many hours for St. Peter Church, St. Peter Elementary School and Bishop Flaget School. Betty was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Class of 1948. She enjoyed being with her family and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Saturday, January 30, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. William Hahn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6-9pm at Haller Funeral Home.
