Betty Lemaster

Betty Jean (Ritchie) LeMaster, 90, of Chillicothe, passed away early Sunday morning, February 9, 2025, following an extended illness.
She was born February 22, 1934, in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Orval and Mandy (Stidham) Ritchie. On August 16, 1954, she married her beloved husband, Harmalee LeMaster, who preceded her in death in November 2005.
Surviving is her beloved daughter, Bettina Groves; her grandchildren whom she adored, Lauren (Cory) Juillerat, Andrea (Nate) Copper, and Hunter LeMaster; beloved great-grandchildren, Lilly Copper, Finn Copper, Mabel Juillerat, and Odyn Juillerat; her brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Jeanie) Ritchie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Darren LeMaster; and her siblings, James Allen Ritchie, Stanley Ritchie, and Mary Lou Edler.
Betty Jean was a graduate of Centralia High School, class of 1952. She went on to work for the Chillicothe Telephone Company before retiring in the late 1980s. She was a former member of the Adena Road Church of Christ in Chillicothe, where she served as treasurer. But most of all, she loved getting to spend time with her family and friends. She will be forever remembered for her kind, loving, and sweet personality.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor Aaron Hines officiating. Following services, she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Harmalee, in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service on Thursday.
