Bettie Littler

Bettie L. Littler, 85, of Upper Arlington, formerly of Chillicothe, died peacefully August 3, 2016, under the care of Hospice, Kobacker House. She was born July 28, 1931, in Marion County, OH, to the late Rev. Robert and Ona Mae (Sweeney) Phillips. On April 8, 1951, she married Thomas H. Littler, who preceded her in death in 2007, enjoying 56 years of marriage. Surviving are their children: Susan Allyn (Jeffrey), of Upper Arlington; Thomas S. Littler, Chillicothe; grandchildren: Matthew W. (Tiffany) Allyn, William T. H. (Leah) Allyn, Amanda Littler, Thomas M. (Tiffany) Littler, Alinda (Eric) Pritchard, and Andrea Littler; and 14 great-grandchildren. Bettie was a graduate of Midway Local High School, Sedalia, OH, Class of 1949. She worked as a reading specialist aide for both Chillicothe High School and Pickaway Ross Vocational School. She was a veracious reader and loved to crochet. Private graveside services will be held at Saturday, August 6, in Grandview Cemetery with Pastor Obadiah E. Harris officiating. In accordance with her wishes, calling hours will not be observed.
