Bert T. Smith Bert T. Smith, 103, of Chillicothe, died December 25, 2007 in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday in the Haller Funeral Home, Pastor Harlan Alspach officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Haller's on Saturday. He was born August 17, 1904 in Wood Co., WV to John H. and Harriett Robinson Smith. On June 29, 1929 he married Minnie Grace Emrick, who died January 11, 1996. Survivors include his daughter, Janet (Don) Russell, of Chillicothe; two granddaughters, Deb Russell, of Arlington, VA and Karen (John) McJunkin, of McLean, VA; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and James McJunkin. Mr. Smith was a retired engineer with the B & O Railroad. He was a member Chillicothe Bible Church; Scioto Lodge 6 F & AM; Chillicothe Commandery 8 Knights Templar; Aladdin Shriners; the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite; Chapter 419 Eastern Star; and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
